Transforming an existing site into a modern family home while maximizing light, views, and spatial quality within given site constraints.

Overview
Villa Bukär is a residential project located in Bukär, Sweden, designed for a family of six. The project replaces an existing villa on the site with a new contemporary home that responds to both the client’s needs and the surrounding landscape.
The design is based on a clear rectangular form to optimize natural light and visual connections to the garden and pool. Large transparent façades, particularly on the southern and southwestern sides, create a strong relationship between interior spaces and the outdoor environment.
A greenhouse is integrated adjacent to the kitchen, functioning as both a growing space and an extended dining area. This element enhances the everyday living experience while reinforcing the connection between architecture and nature.
The project emphasizes simplicity, openness, and functionality, resulting in a modern home that balances comfort, spatial clarity, and environmental integration.
